Heatwave is a short story set in the same world as Death Wore Endless Feathers. It takes place in a future California, where Dai Araiguma is playing a VR game in the middle of an abnormally tenacious heatwave.

I have tried to play Heatwave but both versions don’t work. Could it be because I am trying to play on a Mac that it won’t work?

The game is Windows only at the moment. There will probably be a Mac port in the future.
But what if I tried playing it on Parallels desktop which can run Windows and it still doesn’t work what does that mean?
I’m afraid I have no experience with Macs, so I wouldn’t know. Maybe if you ask in the AGS forums ( http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/ ) someone more experienced will be able to help you run it? Make sure to say what the error is in running it. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
FWIW, it works fine in Linux on WINE … great game, BTW … thanks! I’m pretty sure I got to the end; after I helped the truck driver, there was some cutscenes, ending with a game scene, that ended in some chaotic stuff at the end, then it just quit. Did I miss anything?
Nope, you got to the end. Also, great that it works in WINE! That’s good news. :)
